Locations Overview
Land Acknowledgement
Project Kampfire wishes to acknowledge that the land on which we gather is in Treaty 7 territory. This is within and surrounding the traditional meeting grounds and home for many Indigenous Peoples, including Blackfoot Nations: Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai, the Tsuut’ina Nation and Stoney Nakoda First Nations. This is also home to the Métis communities of Region 3 in Alberta and home to many Inuit people. We wish to acknowledge the Indigenous Peoples who join us in this area bring with them a rich and beautiful culture, from which we learn. We wish to honour the Elders, Knowledge Keepers and traditionalists who have gone before us and those who continue to walk with us today. We make this acknowledgement as an act of reconciliation and gratitude to those whose territory we reside on or are visiting.
The locations where Project Kampfire programs take place are more than just venues—they are the backdrops to transformation, connection, and discovery. Each site is carefully chosen to provide a safe, engaging, and inspiring environment for our initiatives. From serene natural settings that spark curiosity to well-equipped facilities that support hands-on learning, our locations are integral to creating memorable and impactful experiences.
Whether it’s the picturesque landscapes of Camp Connect or the inclusive and adaptable spaces at Camp Horizon, each location fosters a sense of belonging and adventure. These places become the grounds where youth forge lasting relationships, build confidence, and deepen their understanding of the world and their role within it. At Project Kampfire, our locations help set the stage for every story, every moment, and every opportunity to grow.
